Samaritan’s Purse “Operation Christmas Child 2026” Has Kicked Off!

Great Plains is helping to gather packed shoeboxes to ship off to needy kids.

Collection week is November 16th to 23rd. Area drop off locations will be published in early October (but Harrisonville and Lone Jack will probably have them). Otherwise, you can bring them to Great Plains on November 8th or 15th and they’ll get delivered.

A donation of $10 per box is suggested to cover processing but not required.

Packing Suggestions: Along with school supplies and small personal items for one of three age groups, it is encouraged to enclose a personal note in each box for the receiving child to read. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ!

If you’re not able to build a shoebox, please pray for the children, their shoeboxes, and all the workers involved to get these collected, distributed, and delivered.
